Kevin Love Guarantees that "Everybody Hates Cleveland"

Kevin Love picked us!

Much smarter types than I can talk about Love the star, the manner in which he and TT can play both small ball next to each other or big next to the Russian rim protector, Timofey Mozgov.

Indeed, there is little complexity to remarking that due to cap escalation, in Love and Irving, the Cavaliers have absolute bargains on elite talent for the next half decade.

Kevin Love picked us:
Yeah, of course I’ve heard the free agency rumors. But at the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We’re all on the same page and we’re all in. We have unfinished business and now it’s time to get back to work.
Love was born in Santa Monica, California and played college ball at UCLA, becoming a charmed star in Los Angeles before even entering the draft in 2008.

Love could have returned home, attempting to coalesce with a rebuilding Lakers roster and build a legacy for himself in the city in which he became a marquee talent.

Love could have signed a 1+1 deal allowing him to chase a title in 2015/2016 and then retest the market to receive a larger financial commitment and return to Los Angeles when the rebuild was complete.

But Kevin Love picked us:

After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that’s when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one.

Kevin Love picked Cleveland because of his legacy, Kevin Love picked Cleveland because he is a competitor -- because he is a winner.

Kevin Love picked Cleveland because being the third option among stars doesn't matter to him but because winning a title does.

Of course, the Cavs have contract guarantee advantages which offer a larger pay day but by taking a minimal one-year risk, Love could have increased his contract value by 15-20%.

On July 1st, Kevin Love decided to be a part of something special; he chose to be  a part of the team  that brings Cleveland its first title.

Following a season in which Love was the focus of numerous rumors and unmatched criticism, he decided that winning  a title was the most important choice he could make in his career.

Kevin Love picked Cleveland because this was his best chance to win a title. Now sit back and soak that in for a moment.

Right now, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, and New York all hate Cleveland because they couldn't pry Lebron or Love away from chasing titles in the Midwest.

Everybody Hates Cleveland, and it feels just great.
